Honors and Awards Won by Athletic Trainers in Maryland

The Honors and Awards Committee needs your help to make sure our profession’s top contributors are! Any MATA member may nominate a colleague for one of the association’s state honors or awards.  On this page you can find basic information on awards that are available for membership nomination.

Many awards require a candidate complete an application or submit supporting materials (letters of recommendation, vitae, etc.). We recommend you allow ample time to complete these materials by submitting your nominations early.

Detailed award descriptions, eligibility and nomination procedures can be found on the individual award pages. In addition, you can see all Hall of Fame Inductees as well as all future honors and award winners will be posted under their respective categories.

Nominations are accepted starting September 1st of a given year. To nominate a deserving athletic trainer, please use the following NOMINATION FORM and email to the appropriate committee member.

In addition to the State awards, members should consider nominating colleagues for district and national awards. Please go to either the District III Honors & Awards page or the The National Honors & Awards Page to nominate a worthy colleague.
