Mission Statement:
Provide quality continuing education opportunities for MATA members to collaborate, network and advance their knowledge of best practices and current evidence-based information for the field of athletic training.

Develop the content, schedule and overall theme or idea of the annual symposium.

Collect and review proposals for continuing education presentations.

Facilitate and coordinate registration, technology, moderators and speaker needs for the annual symposium.

Coordinate with the BOC to obtain approval for continuing education units (CEUs) for annual symposium.

Provide research support to the Executive Council, MATA standing committees and athletic trainers in the state of Maryland.

Serve as a liaison between the Association and the CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education Programs within the state and work with the programs to establish a “Maryland” team to compete in the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA) Quiz Bowl competition.
Annual Meeting/Symposium

Information about the 2025 Annual Meeting/Symposium will be posted here when available. The Symposium is typically held in early June.
