Mission Statement:

Provide quality continuing education opportunities for MATA members to collaborate, network and advance their knowledge of best practices and current evidence-based information for the field of athletic training.

 

Vision Statement:

• Develop the content, schedule and overall theme or idea of the annual symposium.

• Collect and review proposals for continuing education presentations.

• Facilitate and coordinate registration, technology, moderators and speaker needs for the annual symposium. 

• Coordinate with the BOC to obtain approval for continuing education units (CEUs) for annual symposium.

• Provide research support to the Executive Council, MATA standing committees and athletic trainers in the state of Maryland.

• Serve as a liaison between the Association and the CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education Programs within the state and work with the programs to establish a “Maryland” team to compete in the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA) Quiz Bowl competition.

 

Annual Meeting/Symposium

• If you attended the 2024 Annual Meeting/Symposium, you should have received your CEU certificate. If you did not receive your certificate, please email MATAEdandResearch@gmail.com.

• Information about the 2025 Annual Meeting/Symposium will be posted here when available. The Symposium is typically held in early June.
